Would you recommend the MSAG Summer School?
"Absolutely. I am going to go onto Facebook and Twitter and wherever I can, and I’m going to say; please look this up. It is an expense that a lot of people cannot afford, especially from other countries. Coming from South Africa and Namibia there are so many children that would like to do this but can’t afford it. I’m going to say to them; whatever you do, bring your children to this. This is very, very good for them."

"I found it amazing. In personal growth, in learning in the Clinical Sessions, in everything. I’ve made lifelong friends, I’ve learn so much of Cardiology, of different topics. Things like my personal statement and helping my personal growth and I haven’t really thought about that before. They are really useful and that helped me so much."

"The best aspect of the summer school was the fact that there was a great variety of activities... from many different sports... how to suture... and days out. You can enjoy time with your friends but also reflect on them and relate them back to medicine."

Darina, what was the best part?
"It’s so hard to choose. From the academic parts I really liked the clinical experiences because it was something very different, I’ve never learnt so much about Medicine before."

"I absolutely loved it here and I think that I will actually miss everyone, because it is a once-in-a-lifetime-opportunity."
"I came into this thinking I was going to have my nose in my books but I've been proven really wrong - I've made lifelong friends!"

"The communication with the group was terrific! It gave us a nice sort of update and was very reassuring."
"It's been such a lovely opportunity (for Hugh) to just be thrown into this complete mixture of personalities and nationalities... an added bonus I hadn't really thought about."
2019 Students
Kiara and Yasmine
"I came to the medical school because I wanted to look at how it would be to be a doctor in the UK, as I do not really know much about the NHS... I don't really have a word to describe it, because it wasn't just good - it was informative, it was fun, open... and I've come out of it knowing I want to go into medicine."
"I feel like I have such an advantage now because I understand so much more about the life of a doctor as well as the clinical skills... everything to do with the application... and the whole experience of mixing people from different cultures was something I don't think you could get anywhere else."

Camelia, what was your favourite moment?
"The clinical sessions - It was so amazing, it felt like an activity, not school - I felt like a doctor!"
Raphael, would you recommend this summer camp?
"I would... before coming here I didn't really know where I wanted to study. Maybe abroad, maybe stay in France. Now I know I want to study in England!"
